"UNDER PRESSURE!" TyreSafe announces first national tyre safety campaign

TyreSafe, the UK's leading tyre safety organisation, is co-ordinating a national tyre safety month in October to raise the awareness of the crucial part that tyres play in road safety and avoiding crashes, particularly in the wet. The campaign will have a major focus on tyre pressures and the part they play in reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The Tyre Safety Month, the first of its kind arranged by the tyre industry, already has the backing of major tyre companies and retailer groups in the UK together with many government and non governmental organisations. The campaign will be led by respected motoring journalist and Channel 5 Fifth Gear television presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson.

The month long campaign will feature free tyre safety and pressure checks at supporting retailers and TyreSafe has produce a range of promotional literature including posters and leaflets that can be downloaded from the organisations website at www.tyresafe.org

The campaign will also feature a major media relations campaign including tyre safety editorials in local and regional newspapers, consumer motoring magazine feature articles and radio promotions.
